New York, NY – December 9, 2008 – United Stations Radio Networks, Inc., (USRN), an independent leader in the creation and marketing of network radio programming, announced today that they will begin distribution of a third version of weekend programming created and hosted by Sean “Hollywood” Hamilton. Now, in addition to the Mainstream Contemporary Hit Radio (CHR) version of his weekly chart show and its companion Rhythmic CHR version, there will be The REMIX TOP 40, a unique 4-hour show that will present a review of the dance mixes of today’s top pop hits. The show will begin airing the week of January 26, 2009. The announcement came from USRN’s EVP/Programming, Andy Denemark in New York. The REMIX TOP 40 is the first countdown show to provide affiliates with a carefully researched review of the dance and nightclub remixes of today’s top hits. The 4-hour format will also allow for each hour to be specially mixed by four top local DJ’s around the country, all of whom will be supervised by the show’s Executive Producer, WKTU’s Assistant Program Director, Steve Bartel. The initial lineup of contributing “mixers” includes Dave Casanave from Kiss-108, Boston, Lil Cee from KMVQ, San Francisco, DJ Richie Rich from Y-100, Miami and WIOQ, Philadelphia and DJ Riddler from KKHH, Houston and WKTU, New York. The program will feature brief interviews with superstar guests and will be produced with fewer commercial breaks than most national programs in order to enhance the show’s continuous music flow. Clear Channel’s WKTU, New York has signed on as the show’s first affiliate and will air the program on Saturday evenings. In commenting on the addition of The REMIX TOP 40, USRN’s Andy Denemark said, “Hollywood Hamilton came to us with a great concept and backed up his ideas with fantastic execution. It’s a totally original way to spin the hits, and we believe stations around the country will get very excited about this project on a number of levels.” Hamilton’s Program Director at WKTU, Rob Miller, added, “"The Remix Top 40 is the fresh alternative to traditional mix show programming. Hollywood's show keeps the audience plugged into pop culture and delivers A-list guests. The music never stops and it's surrounded by incredible production elements. Say “yes” to great ratings...put it on and get the party started!"
