Veteran Morning Hosts Return to the Market Where They've Dominated the Ratings

New York, NY – November 23, 2010 -- United Stations Radio Networks, Inc. (USRN), is excited to announce that THE LEX & TERRY MORNING SHOW will be back on the air in Gainesville, FL beginning on Monday, November 29th.    The show will be heard in that market on Pamal Broadcasting’s WHHZ-FM known locally as 100.5, The Buzz.   The announcement came today from USRN’s VP/Affiliate Relations Dan Brassem along with the show’s co-hosts, Lex Staley and Terry Jaymes.

WHHZ’S General Manager, Mark Leopold commented, “Listeners in Gainesville are thrilled to be able to wake up with Lex and Terry once again.   Our staff at the station is ecstatic, and with The Buzz being the one and only pure rock station in Gainesville, we’re the perfect home for Lex and Terry."

In Gainesville, Lex & Terry had been the dominant morning show among male listeners for a long time on WRUF-FM with eight (8) consecutive ratings reports showing them #1 among Men, 18-34.   That station flipped format to Country recently, leaving the pair without a home in Gainesville, but only for a very brief time.

Lex & Terry first teamed up on the air at WFYV-FM, Jacksonville in 1992.   The two had a successful morning show locally in Jacksonville and then in 1997, the duo decided to take the program into national syndication.   The show found a national audience immediately and Lex & Terry eventually moved their broadcast operations to Dallas, TX, which still serves at the hometown for their studios.  Lex Staley has a long history in radio both on the air and in various management capacities including having been a Program Director.   Terry Jaymes comes from a background of comedy, television and live performance, and together they’ve got over 50 years of combined radio experience.

United Stations Radio Networks, Inc. is America's leading independently owned and operated radio network.   USRN currently produces and distributes dozens of format-specific programs and services accounting for nearly 5000 affiliations with commercial radio stations across the country.  The New York-based company maintains programming, sales and affiliate marketing offices in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, Washington and Nashville.   USRN was founded in 1994 by radio pioneers Dick Clark and Nick Verbitsky
